  • Inspired by the mountainous surrounds of the Eastern Highlands. Goroka is nestled between huge mountains and often the weavers live on a mountain side. 
  • This Bilum is handwoven from acrylic and wool yarn as well as upcycled knitwear using traditional weaving techniques.

This Bilum was lovingly woven by artisan weaver Rosa Hofman, 47, lives with her husband and four children in Fanuifa, a small village in Goroka. She has an infectious laugh and wonderful sense of humour, she is very much a luminous spirit within her community. Rosa’s favourite pattern is the Skin Pig, a vibrant optical design.

To clean bag, remove pom pom and tassel, cold machine wash and line dry.
